As you are all probably aware Derby County play Sheffield United tomorrow and Lewis is delivering the match ball. Robbie Savage has included Lewis in his column for The Mirror which is fantastic!! So, thank you Robbie and please please please help us raise alot of money for the fund on the day. Here is a link to Robbie's article:
14th September 2009

Well, what can I say!! Saturday at the match was so fantastic and we want to send a big thank you to Derby County for allowing us to collect around the ground.
Lewis, Morgan & Leah had a smashing day which was largely down to Robbie Savage or 'Sav' as we now call him!!!!
He was so kind to us all and arranged some fantastic signed goodies for us to auction off over the coming events. Not only did Robbie arrange for Lew to go to the players lounge after the match he really put Lew at ease before walking onto the pitch with him - check out Lew with Robbie on the front of the Derby Telegraph today!
Robbie has also given us a money cannot buy auction prize for the Derby Corporate College charity ball at the Roundhouse. He is giving some lucky people the chance to visit Robbie's home where he will cook a 3 course meal for 6 people, drinks and taxi's included!! Can Robbie cook? Who cares! Bidding starts at £2000 on the night so don't forget your credit card.......
Thanks Robbie - you're a star to all the Mighty family and Lewis is now offically your biggest fan after Saturday xxxxxxxxx
We must also say thanks to Marcus Tudgay of Sheffield Wednesday who flashed his wrist band to the camera's on Saturday nights 'The Football League Show' on BBC 1. Thanks Marcus - its good to know we are supported by you.

Hi
As im sure you are all aware we are trying to raise £300,000 to take Lewis to America for monoclonal Antibody treatment called 3F8.
I know most of the members on this group have been here from the start of Lews Incredible Journey and a lot of you stumbled across it by accident, and others heard of Lews plight either through a friend or Local newspaper article. Whichever way it doesn't matter; we are all here supporting a 4 year old boy who has cancer. He has cancer stage 4 which is usually classed as untreatable in this country, it is the worst you can get and your prognosis doesnt look good. As a country Lewis has recieved good care from the NHS and i do strongly believe no expense is spared when treating very young children. After months of research into different treatments, whether they are Hoeopathic or Drug based i have always found the same thing - MONEY is a huge key in cancer treatments especially. Memeorial Sloane Kettering in New York use a drug called 3F8 to treat Neuroblastoma - it works by triggering the bodies immune system to fight against the cancer cells. Simple enough isnt it when i put it like that ? but it is far from that simple. In Europe we developed our own antibody treatemnt called GD2 which was based on the theory used for 3F8. It would have been being used now but apparently it is in very short supply at the moment and only children who have been cleared of NB completely quickly Qualify for the treatment. So there you have it we have an antibody treatment that is for Neuroblastoma cancer in this country. Now most of you will say well surely you only need to have Neuroblastoma cancer to fit the criteria to get the drug. Well no, there is a lot more apparently to that, but as a Joe Public Mum thats the part i dont get!!! They have told me lewis is ineligible for GD2 but they will sit back and see me kill myself trying desperatly to raise £300.000 to save my baby. It is like some sick game show gone wrong i almost imagine someone sat there saying "well if you want to save him bad enough you will get it" This country wont help me and by that i say Government because they feel 3F8 is unsafe!!! UNSAFE WHAT IS UNSAFER THAN DYING for godsake!!! They wont send me in case 30 years down the line lewis develops side effects from the drug and i sue!!!! Docters wont tell you to go for it because if it goes wrong the buck lies with them. So there you have it this is why i am desperatly relying on the public to help me. Imagine how it feels to be that mum who wakes everyday with a sick lurch in her tummy that wont budge, not being able to plan anything, having to sit and count the days since your baby was last treated in case you go too long and cancer flares up again. Please help me - we are desperate!!!
